SYNOPSIS
Ana Paucha, who calls herself Ana No, is a poor 75-year-old widow who lives in a small village in Almería. Her husband and two older sons died in the war, and her youngest son has been imprisoned in northern Spain for 30 years. Ana decides to close her house forever and, with an olive oil cake as her only luggage, she sets off on a journey north to visit her son. Ana, who has been receiving his letters for 30 years without reading them, wants to see him one last time before she dies, to hug him and give him his favorite cake. This is a journey through post-war Spain in which Ana Paucha gets to know herself and the territory that surrounds her at every moment. She encounters characters along the way who make her question her life choices and the meaning of humanity in general, and it ends up being a journey of initiation for a woman who was raised to raise her children and serve her husband, but she is much more than that. Against the backdrop of poverty, inequality, and the destruction left in Spain by a devastating conflict.
